 Middlemarch Mates, Book Six

Laura Adams is a cop with ambition, and a job in Middlemarch isn't what she wants for her future. Hooking up with the wrong man is responsible for the wrong turning, and she refuses to repeat the mistake, especially with a sexy thief.

Leopard shifter Jonno Campbell takes one look at Laura and desires her as his mate. He's enthralled with the fiery cop, and when she arrests him, he's ready for a strip search. Convincing Laura he's innocent and that they should work together to capture the thieves stealing from Middlemarch residents isn't easy. A kiss laced with his easy charm does the trick and sparks fly. Passion escalates into primitive hunger. A night of hot loving convinces Jonno. He wants forever with the gorgeous Laura, but her ambition, his feline heritage and a gang of thieves stand in the way of his progress. Then there's the ex-boyfriend who wants Laura back. This time charisma and erotic promise mightn't be enough to win the lady.

I’m baaaaaccccckkkkk! Did you miss me?

After several very hectic, stressful weeks, life is finally back to normal and I’m thrilled to have Shelley Monroe’s new hero, Jonno, here chatting with us today.

But first, I want to thank everyone for their patience, and also, the kind emails I received.  For those who didn’t catch wind, my BIL was in a very bad accident. He was flown to shock trauma and suffered a lot of damage to his face, leaving him blind in one eye. Since he’s widowed, I brought him home with me and spent the month of December nursing him back to health. In all honestly, I couldn’t have ever imagined a better way to spend the holiday season—putting aside my own needs for another’s. It felt great, he’s doing great, and here I am, hoping Slip Between the Sheets readers haven’t forgotten me! So, belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year—now let’s talk sexy cat man!

I’m here in my office with Jonno, who’s looking mighty fine this afternoon.

Rweoow! With a body like that, one wonders. Do you work out, Jonno?

Jonno: I'm a feline shifter and expend a lot of energy each time I shift. I also work on a farm, doing a hard physical job day after day. There's no need for me to work out or watch my diet.

Alyssa: Lucky you!  Now my readers know there’s a few questions I’m addicted to and must ask. So the ladies want to know, boxers or briefs?

Jonno: Neither. Commando.

Alyssa: Good answer!:) But I’m afraid my curiosity is peeked . A visual please--what do you sleep in?

Jonno: I wear a smile. That's all I need.

Alyssa: Oh-ho. You must be having fun in bed! Can I join you…or have you found that someone special yet? Speaking of which, what attracts you to a woman?

Jonno: Oh, yeah. Met her tonight. She's human, but that doesn't matter. I can work around that. Saber Mitchell married a human. If a human is special, she can deal with the feline world. I like someone feisty who can take care of herself, someone who isn't frightened of me or my feline characteristics. That's when I get around to telling her she's my mate. I need a woman I can trust. And hot and sexy—now that doesn't hurt.

Alyssa: And just because I’m noisy, I have to ask.  What's your favorite sex position?

Jonno: Buried deep inside Laura. Haven't done it yet, but it's only a matter of time. Tonight.

Alyssa: Awfully confident… you must have strong feelings for this Laura. Tell me, any wedding bells in the future? Plans for kids? What about your past, ever been married?

Jonno: Yeah, I want kids, but not straight away. I want to have some time with my mate first. Laura. She's the one. She doesn't understand yet, but she feels the pull between us. Felines mate for life. Sometimes they marry. Sometimes they don't. Doesn't mean they aren't committed to each other. Nope, never been married.

Alyssa: One last question. I’m wondering, as a feline shifter, do you keep any pets?

Jonno: LOL – I don't need a pet. If I want to cuddle a cat, I can go play with my fellow shifters, although most of them are male. I don't want them to get the wrong idea.

Alyssa: LOL! Well, some readers might find that very intriguing! ;)  But obviously not you!

Thanks for humoring us today, Jonno. I enjoyed flirting--ahem—interviewing you. Good luck with Laura!
